Glauq (“we”, “us”) provides SR&ED tax credit software and services to Canadian businesses. This policy explains what personal information we collect through glauq.com, why we collect it, where it goes, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers this website only.

What we collect

We collect information in three ways, and only these three:

The eligibility check (/qualify). Your email address, plus the answers you give about your company: company type, stage, headcount, the kind of development work your team does, your approximate R&D spend range, and where you file taxes.
The contact form (/contact). Your name, email address, company name, and the content of your message.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read. It sets cookies and records standard usage data such as pages visited, approximate location, referring site, and device and browser type. We do not link analytics data to the forms above.

We do not ask for and do not want financial account credentials, CRA credentials, payment card numbers, or Social Insurance Numbers through this website. Please do not send them to us by email or through the contact form.

Why we collect it

Form submissions are used to answer your question, to assess and tell you whether your R&D work looks like it qualifies for SR&ED, and to follow up about that assessment. Analytics data is used to decide what to write and what to fix on the site. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Where it is stored

Form submissions are stored in Amazon DynamoDB in AWS’s US West (Oregon) region and are transmitted by email through Resend, our email provider. The site itself is hosted on Netlify. This means your information is stored and processed in the United States and may be accessible to US authorities under US law.

How long we keep it

We keep eligibility check and contact form submissions for as long as we may reasonably need them to follow up on your enquiry or to service an ongoing relationship, and we delete them on request. Google Analytics data is retained according to Google’s own retention settings.

Your choices

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@glauq.com and we will respond within 30 days. You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely using Google’s browser opt-out add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and access to stored submissions is restricted to people at Glauq who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described here rather than made silently.
